The Hospital Industry Data Institute’s Multistate Data Exchange Program is the premier out-of-state data exchange program in the nation. Participating states receive patient data on their state’s residents that receive medical treatment in another state. Serving as a single data repository, HIDI collects, aggregates and coordinates the exchange of this data amongst participating state hospital associations on a quarterly basis.
