The Missouri ZIP Health Rankings data included on the exploreMOhealth CHNA platform and data driving MHA’s Public-Facing Health Equity Dashboards were updated last week. The new data on exploreMOhealth are reflective of the most recent information on the health and social well-being of populations living in 935 Missouri ZIP codes. The latest ZHR data were generated by Missouri hospitals between fiscal years 2020 and 2022, and by the 2021 American Community Survey of the U.S. Census Bureau. In addition, new county-level data from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s 2022 County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program now are available on exploreMOhealth.
Combining both health factors and outcomes, the state’s healthiest ZIP code during the 2020-2022 study period was 63074 — the city of Saint Albans in Franklin County with a population of 16,336. At the opposite end of the distribution, ranked 935th was 64767, the census-designated place of Milo in Vernon County with a population of only 557. The latest issue of HIDI HealthStats provides an overview of the latest ZHR modeling and examples of communities throughout Missouri that are miles away from one and another, but worlds away on health.
